Pix of my, new to me, SA22C. It is a 1979 model with only 79K miles original miles on it! And I am only the second owner! The car has been in storage, sitting on blocks for the last ten years. It had fresh paint job right before being put away! So after washing off over ten years worth of dust, a nice detail job and this is how she looks. Not too shabby for a 25 year old baby! When I picked it up it didn't run, after two days of working on it I drove it for the first time (March 16th, 2003.)

The transformation from storage to a great running car.

Summer/Fall 2003

I had a donor 85 GSL-SE to give it's life to my 79. So now the SA has an 85 GSL-SE under neath it. Not too many 79's out there sporting a limited-slip rearend and four wheel disc brakes. The next thing to go was the auto tranny! The 85's 5 speed and drive shaft where then put into the 79. Next the 79 dash was removed and replaced by an 83 dash to accomodate the relocation of the shifter. The original tan carpets were pulled and replaced with black ones to match the black 83 dash. The 85 also happened to have a Racing Beat Street Port Full Dual exhaust which fit nicely inplace of my 79's stock exhaust. Then came the Racing Beat light steel flywheel, new clutch package and the Racing Beat/Holley carb/intake setup. Next I had to get rid of the stock 13 inch wheels. I opted for a nice set of 15 inch mesh-style wheels and 205/50/15 Falken Azenis Sport tires to finish the look. The shocks were also replaced by new Tokico HP blues. And last but not least a new A/C system to replace the old worn out stuff!

LOOK SNOW!!!!

Febuary 2004

The needed upgrade on the ignition system was done. Say good by to the old points and say hello to the '85 electronic setup and new plugs. It was also time for an oil change!
